The Ensemble Enarmonia is a vibrant amateur symphonic orchestra in the heart of Rome, founded to bring together musicians from diverse educational backgrounds and multiple nationalities through their shared passion for music. This essence defines the orchestra’s identity, distinguishing it for its inclusive spirit and a profound love for art.
Composed of over 60 members, the orchestra is today an ever-evolving international mosaic, where the pleasure of making music together transforms individual differences into a collective harmony.
What makes the Ensemble’s artistic journey so dynamic is the choice not to have a permanent conductor, entrusting each project to a different lead. This openness allows the musicians to engage with various approaches and sensibilities, welcoming guest conductors to the podium who bring new interpretive visions. In recent years, the orchestra has had the pleasure of collaborating with maestri such as Alessandro Buccarella, Daniele Camiz, Álvaro Lopes Ferreira, Demetrio Moricca, and Francesco Vizioli.
This commitment to openness reached a special milestone in May 2024, with an international exchange and meeting in Rome with the Orchestre Musica from Saint-Étienne. On that occasion, the two ensembles shared the stage under the direction of maestro François Bernard, creating an event that celebrated not only great music but also the value of friendship and cooperation between different European cultural realities.
In this context, the term “amateur” reclaims its noblest meaning: those who play do so for the love of art, investing their time and energy with enthusiasm.
